Lot description:

Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ Sestertius (27.60 g, 12h). Imitative issue. Uncertain Eastern or Balkan mint. Laureate head right / Spes advancing left, holding flower and raising hem of skirt. Cf. von Kaenel 2175-2177; for prototype, cf. RIC I 115. Good VF, dark green patina, some smoothing, minor roughness.
